Food-Grade Dryer Features New Pulse-Jet Baghouse Systems

American Custom Drying (ACD) has completed upgrades to its food-grade spray dryer and associated manufacturing facilities.

The installation of the new pulse jet baghouse systems, automated wet mixing system and inline metal detection, all operated through an Allen Bradley PLC, has been designed to provide greater control over the mixing and drying process.

The spray dryer can handle more volume with improved consistency and a greater variety of food ingredients. The ACD project team implemented a full validation of the new system to ensure the process output met the desired specifications.
